26 January 2005: Links
These are issues and recent stories that I have been looking at
and may write about more later.
Why it is most likely that an American Airlines 757-223
hit it the Pentagon, by Joël van der Reijden
http://home.planet.nl/~reijd050/pentahole_dimensions_est.htm
I have read this through once but haven't scrutinized
it. It has some useful photo and visual presentations that are different
than other sites. I haven't read the other 9/11 related material
on this site yet.
THE OIL RESERVE FALLACY by Bill Kovarik
http://www.radford.edu/~wkovarik/oil/index.html
Essential reading. Shows that oil industry figures
on oil reserves are slanted in a way that favors foreign policy
agendas in the mideast. And the "peak oil" gang are right
in line with this. Be sure to follow the links for all 6 pages;
there are some good bits in the end notes.
GEOPOLITICAL
GENESIS AND PROSECT OF ZIONISM, Mohameden Ould-Mey,
PhD
This has some useful, detailed research into the
influence of the British imperialism on the origins of Zionism,
although it has some bias. Also there isn't much on the sources
of "Christian Zionism" from the same circles, which is
also important.

Philotyrants, Inc. Review by George Crowder of Mark Lilla's
The Restless Mind
http://www.econ.usyd.edu.au/drawingboard/digest/0201/crowder.html
This is a review of a book I haven't read, and I'm
not familiar with the author. But it's a handy summary of some things
I've been looking at, concerning very disturbing trends and historical
influences behind the 60s New Left and 'postmodernist' left. This
ties into my skeptical views concerning the Frankfurt School, Systems
Theory, the "counterculture", New Left historical revisionism,
radical ecology / environmentalism, and recent communitarian / utopian
ideologies. I'll have to get into this more later on.
Leo Strauss as the first postmodernist [!]:
http://www.svabhinava.org/friends/JosephMartin/StraussConjecture.htm
"Strauss was the first postmodern, treating philosophic texts
as indecipherable scriptures while even managing to deny (the anonymity
of the interpreter!) that he was doing just that."
“Managing the planet”: the Ford Foundation
in the mid-Sixties and early Seventies (pdf)
http://tinyurl.com/5zqe6
Very revealing, in that is shows — subtly
— that the social engineering elite used many of the profound
cultural turmoil in the late 60s and early 70s as a springboard
for their plans. In other words, "they" were prepared
for and desirous of certain countercultural "paradigm shifts".
Neocons and eugenics — there has been inadequate
attention paid to the fact that the 'neocons' played a central role
in the post-ww2 eugenics / racialism revival. I only became aware
of it recently. It seems to be overlooked by those who only look
at the well-known Nazi and pro-Nazi circles.
